Where Do I Begin?
The best place to start is simply by talking with one of our pastors.
A conversation with the pastor gives you an opportunity to ask questions, share your story, learn about Redeemer and Lutheranism, and discuss what the next steps might look like. Every person's journey is a bit different, so we don't take a one-size-fits-all approach.
Depending on your background, that next steps may look like this:
Those new to Christianity will have the opportunity to learn the basics of the Christian faith and what it means to follow Christ.
Those coming from another Christian tradition will be introduced to the teachings and practices of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod and have time to explore the distinctive emphases of our confession of faith.
Those transferring from another Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod congregation will typically meet with the pastor to become acquainted with Redeemer, its ministry, and opportunities for service before transferring their membership.
In many cases, these conversations take place through a series of informal meetings or a pastor-led new member class, with the format determined by each person's background and needs.
Becoming Part of the Redeemer Family
Membership at Redeemer is more than having your name on a roster. It is becoming part of a community gathered around Christ and His gifts, a fellowship where we worship together, grow together in God's Word, care for one another, and serve our neighbors in Christ's name.
