Music
Music has long been an important part of the church as we praise and honor the Lord with congregational singing, hymns, chanting, choirs, and instruments. It serves to glorify God and proclaim the Gospel as well as to unify us as Christians. Music is integral to worship whether it be with hymns, the liturgy, or choir and instrumental anthems.
Redeemer has several music groups to be involved with as well as other opportunities to serve and enhance the Divine Service with music. If you are interested in joining one of these groups, or want to find out more information, contact one of the directors or the church office.

Music Opportunities
Redeemer Choir
With a 50+ year tradition, the Redeemer Choir continues to enhance our worship services. It sometimes breaks into women’s or men’s choruses or other small groups to provide special music during the church year. This group meets every week from September through May. The Redeemer Choir is directed by Michael Werner.
Instrumental Ensembles
These are flexible ensembles consisting of members of all ages who play a string, woodwind, brass or percussion instrument and who are willing to use their talents on a periodic basis in accentuating the worship of the people of God. The ensembles rehearse as needed before a service. The Redeemer instrumental ensembles are organized and directed by Holly Guilford.
Special Music
During the summer months when our regular ensembles are taking a break, musically inclined members, individuals or small ensembles, can sign up to play special music for services. Watch for details to be announced in the church bulletins during the spring.
