The Gathering Place
Located on 15th and E Streets, for over 30 years the Gathering place has been serving over 30,000 meals annually to those who face hunger in Lincoln. Evening meals are served Monday through Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and bread and fresh produce are distributed two nights a week.
Redeemer takes a group of volunteers from the congregation to the Gathering Place one Friday four times a year in January, April, July & October. The Gathering Place is a great way for Redeemer to pour into our local community and it is a high organized social service environment in which our volunteers enjoy serving. If you are interested in taking 2 hours out of one of your Fridays to volunteer with Redeemer at the Gathering Place, contact Redeemer’s Gathering Place Coordinator through the Church office.
